In DUI cases where an offender registers a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or higher, the offender will be required to install an ignition interlock device in each car that he or she owns or is registered in his or her name. This also applies for second offences and all of those that follow. The minimum period that the ignition interlock device must remained installed in the automobile or automobiles is 6 months. It could be greater depending upon the offender’s driving history. The ignition interlock device or devices must be purchased from manufacturers that are approved by the state of Wyoming. In the case of an indefinite duration for the installation of the ignition interlock device, you can apply to have the device removed every 5 years.
